Organizing online photographic exhibition in a 3D digital space under the theme “Quang Tri: Where Gratitude and Devotion Shine Forever”

Distinguished delegates, esteemed writers and artists, honored audiences, and art lovers,

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2026), and looking ahead to its 80th anniversary (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2027), in keeping with the Vietnamese tradition of “Uống nước nhớ nguồn” - paying gratitude towards previous generations - Nhat Le Magazine is organizing an online photographic exhibition in a 3D digital space under the theme “Quang Tri: Where Gratitude and Devotion Shine Forever”.

This meaningful initiative pays tribute to heroic martyrs, wounded and sick veterans, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, the families of fallen heroes, and all those who rendered meritorious service to the revolution. At the same time, the exhibition contributes to educating younger generations about patriotic traditions and fostering gratitude and a sense of responsibility toward the immense sacrifices made by previous generations for the independence and freedom of our nation.

Significantly, this is the first time in Quang Tri Province that a photographic exhibition has been organized entirely online and presented in a 3D digital environment. No longer limited by geographical distance or the boundaries of a conventional exhibition venue, people anywhere in the world need only an Internet-connected device to visit, interact with, and appreciate the exhibited works.

The application of 3D technology to exhibition activities not only offers a new, immersive, and visually engaging way of experiencing photography, but also reflects the spirit of innovation and digital transformation in journalism, literature, and the arts. It helps broaden public access, preserve works for the long term, and disseminate more widely the historical, cultural, and humanistic values of Quang Tri.

Since the call for submissions was launched, the Organizing Committee has been honored to receive an enthusiastic response from writers and artists, photographic artists, and both professional and amateur photographers from within and beyond the province. A total of 420 works were submitted to the exhibition.

To create works of artistic and documentary value, the participating photographers undertook numerous field trips, immersed themselves in local life, and captured images imbued with meaning and profound emotions of gratitude and remembrance. These photographs vividly reflect the pulse of life, highlighting the heroic sacrifices of previous generations; activities honoring and caring for people with meritorious service; the reconstruction, renewal, and development taking place today in Quang Tri, once known as the "fiery land"; as well as the simple yet deeply moving beauty of human compassion and comradeship.

Overall, the submitted works demonstrate strong artistic quality, diverse content, and close adherence to the theme and objectives set by the Organizing Committee.

Following a serious, objective, and impartial selection process, the Organizing Committee compiled and selected 58 representative works by 23 authors and submitted them for exhibition licensing. The exhibition proudly presents:

●        42 single photographs;

●        15 photo series, each designed and arranged within a single exhibition frame;

●        01 3D installation entitled “Soldier’s Keepsakes”.

The success of the exhibition has also been made possible by the valued support of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Quang Tri Branch (BIDV Quang Tri).

Within the 3D digital exhibition space, the Organizing Committee and the sponsor selected five photographers whose outstanding works would each receive VND 1,000,000 in awards from BIDV Quang Tri. This meaningful contribution recognizes and encourages the photographers’ dedicated artistic efforts to preserving and sharing meaningful moments of the land and people of Quang Tri.

The five selected authors are:

Le Duc Thanh, with the photograph “The Bonds of Comradeship”; Ho Thanh Thoan, with the photograph “Writing reflections at the memorial house of General Vo Nguyen Giap”; Nguyen Van Hai, with the photograph “July - Kindling the Flame of Remembrance”; Cao Van Tinh, with the photograph “Flowers of the Thach Han River”; and Tran Thanh Tuyen, with the photograph “Veteran Ho Voi - An ordinary hero.”

The 3D digital exhibition “Quang Tri: Where Gratitude and Devotion Shine Forever” is more than an artistic event bringing together and presenting beautiful, moving, and meaningful images of Quang Tri. It is also a symbolic offering of incense from the heart - a profound tribute to fallen heroes, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick veterans, the families of fallen heroes, and all those who rendered meritorious service to the revolution.

Through this new form of exhibition in the digital environment, we hope that the stories of sacrifice, gratitude, comradeship, and the aspiration for peace associated with the land of Quang Tri will continue to be preserved and shared with a wider public, particularly younger generations. In this way, the past will not merely be remembered, but will also become a source of spiritual strength for the present and the future.

The period from the launch and organization of the exhibition, the selection of works, to the development, setup, and completion of the 3D digital exhibition space was relatively short. At the same time, this is also a new form of exhibition in the province and the first of its kind to be implemented by Nhat Le Magazine. Therefore, during the organization and operation of the exhibition, certain shortcomings and limitations in both content and technical aspects may inevitably arise.

The Organizing Committee sincerely asks for the understanding of writers, artists, participating photographers, readers, and the public. We also greatly appreciate sincere and constructive feedback so that Nhat Le Magazine can continue to revise, supplement, and further refine the exhibition space.

Building on these initial experiences, the Magazine will continue to research and refine its organizational methods to develop further 3D digital exhibitions on a variety of themes and subjects. At the same time, it will gradually carry out the digitization, presentation, and promotion of outstanding works by writers and artists who have made significant and widely recognized contributions to literature and the arts.

Through these efforts, Nhat Le Magazine aims to create additional cultural and artistic spaces in the digital environment, contributing to the preservation and promotion of creative values and bringing literary and artistic works closer to the public in the years ahead.
